Do you know of a way to edit the config in the game by going into the system
/graphics file? It seems to me, there should be a defining screensize
somewhere? Maybe I'm being too ambitious.

Greeting all,
I have a strange problem with RTCW I hope someone can help me with. I
just
loaded it on my Alienware 17" laptop running Windows Vista. After the
game
loaded and the start screen apears the image area of the game is
extremely
large and most of the image is below the visable are on the screen. In
fact
I can't get to any options the change the screen size within the game. I
tried going into Windows Control pannel and setting the resolution to a
smaller size, but the game remained unchanged.
Any ideas on changing the default resolution of the game? Thanks for any
and
all help.
I'd start by reloading your video driver. If that doesn't work, dump
Vista.

Please don't top-post.

No, I have no idea about editing any "/graphics file". Did you try
reloading the video driver as I suggested?

Dan C , are you familiar with Enemy Territory ? I play it quite a lot ,
there is a derogatory term they use ' Arty' and 'Artying it ' , any ideas
as to what it means ?

Yes, I used to play ET a lot. "Arty" means "artillery", which is when a
player of the Field Ops class calls in an artillery strike (weapon #5, as
I recall). Very effective at smothering an objective, spawn area,
chokepoint, etc.
